Details

I shot this spot with director Mark Zibert. Its was a big ambitious idea, shooting the inner thoughts of a mother trying to prepare for everything life was throwing at her. The mom's mind was projected through an almost comic real life interpretations of events. Her baby gets braces, she falls asleep underwater, has an old west shoot out with her baby, grows extra limbs, is attacked by origami and then her house explodes from within. Mark wanted the spot to be really visceral, so we tried to employ of lot of practical effects, as well as a dynamically moving camera that always tried to connect directly with the scene. We rigged cameras to props, raced the camera through a house full of air cannons full of debris, and recreated a practical bedroom on stage that we sunk under water. Here are some set stills from the shoot as well as a post break down of the incredible work that Sean Cochrane and The Vanity added to bring a lot of story elements to life.
